What's the easiest way of texturing my models? I've heard of some net unwrapping plugins for 3Ds Max which create a net of the model, from which you can base your texture map. Is there such a thing for TS5 or will I just have to use trial and error. Also is there an easier method of texturing aside from texture mapping?

Usually it depends on what kind of model you're texturing. If it's small, the best way to uvw map it is by unwrapping it. (Download a free plugin called textporter, which creates an image of the unwrapped object). If it's something like a level, the best way is with tiled textures applied to different faces, and everything uvw mapped, not unwrapped.

What if I'm texturing something as complex as a fully dress human? What's the best option to use then?

When I paint objects in scenes, I can just apply the texture straight onto the models without having to worry about creating UVmaps. Is there anyway I can export this information to a UVmap?

Also Texporter is great but it's only for 3DS Max and not for Truespace 5 . Do you know of an equivalent plugin that supports TS5?

Also check this TS ressource page and look for plugins such as U/V Cow, TrU-V.
