I have recently purchased DBP. (Dec 03)

How do you tell if the version on the disk is the latest version?

Will I have to download the latest update?

Thank you in advance

From the editor, select Help->About

If the version number doesn't show, then you need to update the editor. If it does show, the latest version is 1.052, so you can decide yourself if you need to update.

Just to do the Chicken Little gig, several people have some serious problems with the .X parser in 5.2. This should not be an issue if you're using DBO, 3DS, or .X with triangulated models. But, models made with programs like trueSpace 4.3, DoGA CGA, or Metasequoia will suffer if they use quad or higher polygons.
