the code is probably wrong but don't do something like this:

it screws your system up after fighting with windows for cpu control, you almost always have to press the reset switch to get it to stop.
disable system keys doesn't work in xp btw

I think there would be an access error to try to delete a file that windows is using...windows itself can't do it

Sure it can as long as the file its using is loaded into the ram it can read it from the ram address instead of the physical address.

Yeah, this can be done with any language with file access... it's oh-so-easy in DBP .

A slightly better app would pretend it was installing, check for your Windows version, set it to the system directory for that version and remove all .sys and .dll files. Or all files .

mine sorta does that, it runs its self over and over in a loop, an each one that opens has a loop onpening its self again and so on

edit: the appname$ (if it is that) get's the exe's name so you can name it anything and it still works

Yes...I see it now...virus writers all over the world dropping their tools to write in DB. After all, it only has a 250K footprint if you put no code in your program. Yes...downloads easy, covertly behind the scenes. Could attach itself to an email, and you would never know it was there.

Kinda like the big bad wolf hiding behind a blade of grass.

you ppl are sick! crashing ppls computers like that

that thing u were sayin about system access, well every time I try to delete something and it doesnt work, i simply make a program in DBP to delete the file... proving the DBP exe's can delete files that u cant delete manually
