Hi all,

Right now mindset is hosted through a free service, and as one may be able to guess it is quite slow (If you need to see for yourself, just go to www.mindset1.com). Basically, I'm looking for a reliable host that gives around 50 megs of storage space and as much bandwidth as possible for a cost that isn't through the roof. Furthermore, I'm looking to be able to pay annually, not monthly. Suggestions welcome...and thanks.

- Steve

No you don't understand. I already have a template, and I am going through freewebs - that's the problem. The server is just plain slow. I don't care about the cost part, it's just a matter of speed.

(Wow, it's amazing how quickly new threads sink!)

Lagmaster, I don't even have any downloads, the images (which are small JPEGS) load incredibly slow.

TPG9, don't those servers only host if the site is DB-related?

I use UplinkEarth.

http://uplinkearth.com/

they're up most of the time. And tho they don't have 24x7 support at these prices. They do have regular bus hrs support and an 800 number. So far I'm fairly happy with what I'm getting for the price I'm paying.

regards - orv

HZence, I host if it's development related

That's for sites, though. If you just need storage space for downloads, pictures, LEGAL, no PORN then that's fine.

hop on over i'll hook you up

EDIT: Screw that, you're on the boards enough, if you want space, for anything, i'll give it to ya. It's unlimited, fast and it's a subdomain

Jimmy - that would be GREAT. I'm looking for space to host files for my site, and submissions. It's a religious debate & philosophy site though, not at all development related? Would that be OK or not?

Awesome. So what would be the next step, just signing up via DBSpot?
