Anyone know anything about Multivision? Their website (and phone contact says little more) says they have ceased trading. Can't find much on the internet either.

Reason I bring it up is I was going to buy a laptop from them (they do really good deals on high end stuff) in the near future, and had heard a few people here had bought/were going to buy from them. Damn annoying, as some deals were bloody great for the UK.

Cheers

Happened on 8th Jan but no details have been given yet. The Register always has upto date news on any IT related stuff and this is link to news item:

I am stunned at this news as I had just been reading a few really good reviews of their laptops as a mate wanted my advice.

Be very interesting to see why they have shut up shop. Probably a member of staff done a runner with all the cash or something similar.

Boo!

Thanks for that.

More importantly though, anyone got any other UK site that does good deals on decent laptops? Nothing else seems to come close for laptops. Spec would be something like a 3Ghz P4 (or an equivelent) with a DVD burner, 512MB+, 80GB, ATI or GF 128Mb (eg. ATI M10 128Mb). Something like that.

Cos so far the closest I've seen is a fair bit pricier, with Alienware stuff looking cheaper by the minute.

Cheers
