MatEdit is easy, yet slow. Click in the wrong place and it has a runtime error, call a menu and it slowly drags across the screen...

And then there's this...

He who does not take the assassin job, will get killed by one who does.

Running on what? (what version of Windows, what resolution, etc).

With our species on the edge of extermination,
with no prospect but a horrible death,
we actually played games.

XP Pro, Lpatop, so 1400 by 1050 at 32 bit.

I know I had similar problems with my tileset maker, so I feel for the guy/gal who made it, but this is a 65 dollar program.

feiting, what are you really interested in knowing? Do you want to know which one is better?

I'd say geoscsape is more powerful, and it isn't too costly. Many of us still use mat-edit or build our own editors towards our liking.

Geoscape is definitly more powerful than mat-edit, although

1.) Mat-edit has been out way longer
2.) Mat-edit is free, so you get what you pay for.

Nonetheless, mat-edit is probebly the most used free matrix editor out there.

Can't go wrong with either of the products.

Power=Geoscape
Free=Mat-edit

I had problems with earlier MatEdit and Magic World, the ide anyway. I'll probably just make my own.

I wanted to see if anyone else had that alignment problem.

From the screenshot it looks like you are using "large" font setting( 120dpi ). Would this be a correct assumption?
