I heard from a few friends about this "uncensored" version of the movie but cannot find anywhere with informations in it,or maybe didn't I look enough.

From what I heard,I doubt I would even be allowed to discuss about those in this place

Does anyone have an idea or is just untrue?

The version shown on TV was said to be uncensored. Oh that was in England though. It was absolutely rubbish in my opinion. I started recording it, thinking it was going to be good, then after about half an hour, I stopped the tape, and turned the TV off.

That's what I thought.

But I won't know if I was missing something until I actually buy it since I don't know what the censored version exactly is.

The DVD should have every scenes right?

Well it has been shown on TV for years in here too but I can't figure out if it was censored or not.

I mean, there "was" the nudity and no scene cuts from the rentable VHS version.

The UK televised version would have been cut to death - the only way ou'll get the real deal is to find the DVD. UK TV companies enjoy advertising movies as uncut, but they still censor them, so you probably get to see the fighting, but not the woman getting smashed over the head with the giant penis.

I quite liked the movie, it lifted alternative movies to a higher level, dragged the genre away from Lynch and movies like Erasorhead. Now we have sex and violence instead of deformed babies and suicidal depression.

Why not do a search for a review so you can make sure of what your getting, like a review on an online DVD store website.

I thought it was pretty good - have a search for the discussion on when C4 showed the 'uncut' version a year or so ago.

Uncut versions playing on TV would be something new . I doubt you'll luck out there. The IMDB forum might have some leads.

Thanks all, indeed was it a revolutionnary movie(and not eraserhead )the IMDB is the first place I always check(and almost the only one as well) but there no way to know if the DVD is the same here,I won't buy it from the net so the local store's versions may differ.

Anyways thanks again.
