Hi,

I am waiting for my DBP to arrive and to date have been programming
in DB classic. I reaslise that this is a DBP forum and so will accept
any answer as it so relates to DBP.

While progamming a game in 2d (sprites) my speed is fine, but when
I add even one 3d object in the background, the speed drops
dramatically. Is this common for mixing the two or is it not a factor
in DBP? Is there a work around?

Thanks

yes, instead of using sprites you might want to use 3dplanes that are locked to the camera. but DBpro mixes the two pretty well

DBP sprites are much more efficient. I just found out last month that you can set the transparancy percentage of a sprite. You should avoid using 2d and 3d together whenever you can.
