Can anyone link me to .x and .map exporters for 3D studio max 6 (other than the beta version of the pandasoft exporter)? Would you reccomend working with .x model format or opting for max's native .3ds format (does dark basic pro even use these)? Would you reccomend using max to model maps? Would cartographer be a better option? Are there even better alternatives out there?

Thankyou.

To answer my own questions -
The pandasoft exporter is currently the best available for max 6, unfortunate its still in its beta stages, but it works for the most part. .3ds format simply doesn't work properly in dark basic, this feature shound NOT be listed under model formats that dark basic supports untill it is fixed. Yes, 3d studio max can be used to model maps using plugins but as I expected Its fiddly and doesn't quite compare to native map creatores like worldcraft.
