Dragon who Shapeshifted into a Human + Human of Opposite Gender = This???

Remember my realistic human model? Well, I turned it into that. I'm pretty proud of myself for the texture (and wondering why I didnt use Gimp sooner). The model is 1204 polygons. C & C Welcome

Cheers,
Preston

Preston- looking nice. I assume you haven't smoothed out the normals yet (hence the line down the center of the model, flat shading too) ?

otherwise nice work!

I'm assuming GIMP is an unwrapper like Unwrap 3D?

Nope, didnt smooth out the normals yet.

No, Gimp is a 2D art package, easy to use, gets good results quick. Free too. I've use the Wings3D UVMapper/Unwrapper, then I edit the UV coordinates a bit in Lithunwrap and export the new model and unwrapped texture.

Preston

It looks a bit blocky (understandable) , but you should try adding some more colour shades to the texture. Especially the wings.

Heh, I guess I did get the idea from that, but the base model (my so called realistic man model) was made before you even posted that sketch

Going to work on the texture a bit. Probably going to fade the wings viens in with the skin a bit more, and give the tail scales.

Cheers,
Preston

The chest area definitly needs to be reworked. Try adding some more polygons into it, and hopefully you'll get a smoother effect.

The arms also look flat.

Model still has potential though.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

Wings3D, I dont have the money for 3D Studio Max (and I dont pirate) and Anim8or is just plain hard to use.

Preston
