This is making me suicidal. My game was working perfectly, everything going smoothly. The level looked great.

Then I edited the level to add some things. I did the following:
∙Deleted few polygons the player can never see (under the level)
∙Retextured some objects (made some new texture maps, before I was using a multi/sub map only)
∙Changed the lighting

Here's what the completely changed leve looks like in 3ds max:

It's beautiful, right? Right. Clearfield State Correctional Institute. So pretty. Then I export to .X, and import into DBP:

Only 1 of the 4 objects shows up (notice the birds, boxes and windows/sign are missing), the texture on the grass is skewed...WHAT DID I DO?!?! I can't get it to run right! I gave up on trying to load the lightmap...why don't these limbs load? Why is there only one object? Why didn't the UVs work like they do in max? I'd love to send the max file to someone...please HELP! What's wrong??

Some code might help....have you loaded the other objects? Have you told them to be limbs? Have you unhidden them? Sorry, cant be of much help without seeing what your code is doing.

I just simply load it, then use nuclearglory's collision system with it. The entire level is only 1 .X object, and it contains every object in the level. In 3ds max, there are seperate objects, but in DBP it only loads one of those objects. I never used any limb commands.

...and that's the only time I ever do anything to the level object. It loses all of the other objects in the .X file. it was working before. Compare the 2 screenshots, the DBP one is missing the boxes, the dead birds, the doors... it only loads the yard object (which is one object with multiple textures on it).

Have you tried exporting it a second time? You could possibly have accidentally just exported the selected object. Or you might have even unknowingly changed some export settings. Just take a look at how you're exporting and what you're exporting, I'm sure the problem lies in that.

Exeat's probably right, check youve got nothing selected and go over the export settings thoroughly before exporting the file.

Yeah, make sure you select "Export" and not "Export Selected", although I just realised you said the texture's aren't quite right anyway. Did you redo the whole light mapping procedure from the beginning? If you still can't get it to work then email the .Max file to [email protected]

Nope, I've exported it many, many times, I've even tried export selected with a different object, but when it loaded that it crashed no matter what other object it was.

Ok, I'm working on pinpointing the problem. It HAS to be something with 3ds max. The game can load older levels that I've made. But it can't load anything that I currently make with max. If I export a cube and load it into DBP, it crashes. If I use a level I made a few weeks ago, it loads. There's something wrong with max...but what?!

I use these export settings for panda:

Besides being notoriously fickle, it's too complex and expensive.

I take it no one has found an answer yet? I have no idea what's wrong with max...
