How do I have a dummy word such as "planex" to store info of the x position of the object.

I'm try to get the camera to point toward a object, and in order to do that you must have the program know where the object is.

This is how it will work

but I can't use planex,planey, or planez because I can't store the position of the object in those words. HOW DO I DO THIS? PLEASE HELP!!!

I dont understand the question. It should work. You need to put parentheses "(" + ")" around the 1, of course.

you have:
planex=object position x 1

it should be:
planex=object position x(1)

Yeah, the syntax can really kick yer butt sometimes....

Like how come on some commends you specify a object number, filename$ but on others its filename$, object number.
