Probably like you hear alot of damned...any other countrie all around.

If Canada is hated by some people then it's misplaced...Except if you live in Québec province. But people must already know that since it's an evident geopolitical fact everyone learn about in school whenlearning about the colonization of North-America by France.

okay, to clear this up, 'hoser' isn't an insult to a canadian. in fact, we made it up.

everyone has their own term for this, but prior to us becoming the 52 state of the US (my stab at americanization) we used to have a culture of our own.

hoser is a playful jest at a friend, like when you're joshing around and you call someone a geek or a loser, but they're your friend so you're not insulting them. just scratchin' around.

the yank's probably picked up 'hoser' from bob & doug mackenzie from sctv, our internationally acclaimed comedy show from a couple decades back. bob & doug, by all means, are 'typical' canadians. lol.

cheers all

lol Yup.

Did you know that Canada is the only country who actually defeated the Americans in a war.

hahaa - ya know i know a scarily lil about the Revolution from the British, kinda wierd it was never taught at school ... we learn about most other things. Be good to know the real story sometime, because its hard to believe they won it easily - England doesn't have a very big history when it comes to loosing wars, infact that would be about the only one i know of ... but know nothing about.
anyways i'm pretty sure a Hoser is someone who is gullible... cause alot of people atleast in the Derby area used to use it
