It's innovative which is good. But handhelds are supposed to be firm and stable, that thing looks like it's going to be wobbling around like jelly on a snake, it's a good idea but bad execution.

Exeat, that is a concept for the thing, it's not gonna look anything like that.

Personally, I think it will revelutionise RPG's, because now you'll have all your items and stats on one screen and the game on the other. Then there's the 2-player possibilities. Traditional games often would benefit from an extra screen, especially RPG's and RTS games where you want to keep an eye on the action as well as your status.

That's what a concept is - to visualise the final product without having to make it. It's so they can see what it looks like before they create a prototype. If it's not going to look anything like that, then that defeats the purpose of drawing it at all. Unless they were just testing different designs, in which case they should never have released that image at all.

Edit: Just saw that was created by someone other then Nintendo! My mistake entirely, sorry lol. I thought Nintendo released the image. hehe.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have two screens that could be revolved around from back to back, to side by side. Back to back would be like Battleships, and side by side could be used for Widescreen, or Stats, and gamescreen.

Which concept art are you all talking about?

Oh I see....Well you can't really call that concept art because Dual screen means Two screens. A concept would have to have just two screens even if it was completely the wrong style. There lies the confusion...

on gamespy they said the official version of the new nintendo hand held would have just 2 screens. anyways, it looks kick-ass just the way it is but in term of ergonomics it has sooo many flaws...

nah, but on the real, i read so in an interview with some guy in nintendo and gamespy, the new nintendo handheld is gonna have twin screens, take away 5 of the screens above and you should pretty much get a concept of what thier planning

Yeah but Ben Heckendorn make the PSp in 1998 or `99 so really Sony is taking the name from him. For more info on his he is in the December issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

According to a few sites it´s not meant as a contender to the psp. How can it be a portable console and not contend with the psp?

Aparently the GBA2 will be the contender to the psp. I´m guessing that they´ll release it the same time as the GameCube2 and that the DS is just to stop the psp running away with the market.
