Hello!!

well....I'm trying to do a flight sim but I can't find a 3D cockpit of an F-16. You know, I'm trying to full-use the 3D but I can't find one...Anyone knows where I can find one (or at least the geometry, I'll skin it if it's neccesary.

Thanks in advance

I'm a newbie

I'm bored at the moment.

I'll make you one if you respond within the next hour.

what are your polycount limitations?
I'm assuming you want it in 3D?
Any word on texture size?
I'm assuming you just want the parts of the cockpit that are visible to the camera in a normal view, or do you want the ability to look out side windows?

Does that mean there is nothing to see here?

Wasting CPU Cycles since the 286 was a hot machine.

nnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I lost that opportunity !!! noooooooooo

well...if you get bored again ...here's the specifications

Q: what are your polycount limitations?
A: From 1 to 500-800 polys

Q: I'm assuming you want it in 3D?
A: Of course!, I'm trying to fully use the 3D

Q: Any word on texture size?
A: well, I've got some real photos (http://members.brabant.chello.nl/~c.vanlierop/RealCockpits/f16/F16closeupPics.htm) that I think I can use. The texture can be of 512x512.

Q: I'm assuming you just want the parts of the cockpit that are visible to the camera in a normal view, or do you want the ability to look out side windows?
A: well, I'm planning to add that ability, but if it's too much work for you then only do the frontal part, I think I can add the back parts. About the file format...3DS or MAX will be good

Well....if anyone wants to help me is welcome then...

Edit: Oh and.....I'm using 3D Studio MAX R3

Oh, one more thing -

You sure you want it to be as low res as 500 - 800 pollygons?

Seems a little skint considering how much of the screen it will be taking up.

If I had my way I would aim for the 2000 - 3000 mark.

Let me know.

Well, I was saying that for not having you to work too much, but if you can do it high-detailed (2000-3000 polys as you say) it would be very cool, and it will add a high realistic setting

don't worry!! I can wait as long as I can have one

thank you so much

Ever heard the saying "Sorry the letter is so long, I didn't have enough time to write you a shorter one"?

Well the same goes for 3D moddels. Optimizing them can be tough when your going for the best look possible using the least number of pollygons.

yeah, it has happened to me a lot and it's frustrating...but I don't care of how many polygons the model can be, so don't worry, because the game will run on fast PC's
