Scraggle, what you have to do, simply, is find a company that will host your website.
They'll tell you how much
webspace you get (how many megabytes you can put online) and how much
bandwidth you get, (how much information your website can send, so if you have 5 GB of bandwidth per month your visitors can download up to 5 GB of information before your monthly bandwidth runs out and the site closes till the next month)
When you learn that, and compare price vs bandwidth vs webspace with other hosts, you decide which host you want. They'll have a place where you sign up, you give them all of your information and it's charged to whatever credit card you're using, and the monthly fee activates. You tell them what
domain name you want, and then you'll get it!
Then they'll give you something called a
control panel. This is a place, that has a web address, like www.yoursite.com/control panel, which requires a password and acount name to get into (they'll provide it for you).
In your control panel, you can
upload your webpage. That means, create an html document on your computer, then upload it to the control panel. There will be buttons that let you do this.
If a visitor goes to your page, it will show them
index.html, which should be the name of the file of your main page. So create a file on your computer called index.html, which should be your main page layout, and upload it. Then you have a website! yay?!
The host company that I use is [href]www.anhosting.com [/href], but I'd compare prices with other people first
