Hey guys, does anyone know of a actually free modeller that can be easy to use/easy to understand and can do animation and basic human models etc. I tried JD or JT (can't remember) edit ages ago and I spent about a month trying to work out how to draw a cube but the tutorial doesn't really explain how to do it properly. I really need something like a click and drag thing where you can shape out your object manually to make something like a chair or a sword or a suit of armour. Could someone help me?

Anim8or-I use it and love it. It is really easy too.

Wings3D-To me, it is hard but is really good once you learned it.

Here's some screenies of what I can make in it in 2 minutes.

I know. WINGS3D looks so professional and Anim8or doesn't but anim8or is great too and is easier to anim8 in (that is why it is called Anim8or.)

JTEdit is a great program, you must have been looking at the wrong tutorial!

making a cube is EASY!!! just click "cube", and then click and drag, just like you said!

try it again, the current version is probably much better than the one you tried

Anim8or: Lacks polygon creation, cannot export animations
Wings3D: Lacks animation tools
JT Edit: Never tried

Milkshape: 25$ and has everything you need + plenty of tutorials on the web.

Some others to look at are DeleD 3D (look in the 3D corner) and Doga.
