okay, i got this friend who figured out how to make a thing that attaches to a pen and when you flick a wheel on the back of the pen, a little bolt of electricy comes out the front. i lost his # so does anyone here know how to build something like that?

you mean a tesla bolt? You can get an electric lighter
(the kind that doesn't use batteries) and remove the
part that makes the spark when you press the button. Just
put that in the pen...

well, that was assuming that you had a lighter.
If you don't have one, you can:
A) Buy one.
B) You can't build one, because you'll need the crystal.
The only way to build something similar would be a tesla
coil, which would require batteries(9v), a transformer(huge),
capacitor, transistor (PNP), and a REALLY BIG pen. ...

there is a certain kind of crystal used in lighters.
When you press the button, the crystal gets hit by
a coil, and generates a small amount of electricity.
But this is very precise, and it's almost impossible
to get it/do at home. Your best chance would be to get the lighter.

well, you can just put it in the back of the pen (with the button sticking out), and pass a wire from it till the metal tip. (inside)

Only thing i know about electricity is to not touch it. Did that once, didn't feel too good either. My school built a tesla coil once.

The tesla coils are more fun than the lighter pens.
Thousands of volts creating huge sparks capable of
serious injury, what else could I want?

Nope. Actually there was a 'report' in an 'alternate science' magazine that a US tank had been deployed to Iraq that shot out 'lightning bolts', probaly powered by similar technology, that melted everything in their path and charred humans. Nonsense obviously, but I do think similar technology is possible... and probaly will come about in the future.

It is possible, but the power required is stupidly high. Besides, you can't control
a tesla bolt, so your own troops would get killed, and tanks can be easily
defended against them. Just add a tesla coil to the tank, and it would never get hit!

that spark doesn't hurt at all. It's too small.
You don't even feel a pinch! A tesla coil with
a 9v battery on the other hand.... Muahahaha

0.1 of an amp can kill a human in the right circumstances
