i use a laptop as my main PC and my mouse has been 'removed' for 'reasons'

it has one of those sticky up things in the middle of the keyboard and it has become 'dirty' due to prolonged thief playing

now whenever i let go of it the mouse shoots down the screen and when i'm using it it moves up REAL slow

i am currently at the stage in the game i'm making when i have to do intense 2D graphics editing (pixel by pixel) and it's REAL hard!

i have lost my manual! does anyone know how to salely clean it? the laptop is a DELL LATITUDE and is 1 YEAR OLD, 1.08 ghz.
