Basically I'm trying to get a hold of the commdlg.dll.

(Should be located under if you have it C:\WINDOWS\system32\commdlg.dll)

I'm a newbie to Dll's and was hoping to get some help in figuring out how to run and utilize it. Basically it's juse a file browser I believe, so I should be able to use it.

Is it possible to use/utilize it?

I'll do a quick search of the codebase and forums.

Any help is appreciated.

(Solve my problem before I solve it and I'll show you a screenshot of my current project.)

Figured it out!

Just had to study some of the code snippets in the code snippet section.(*hint* when searching, use the keyword file)

Well, guess it wouldn't hurt to show a picture of my latest project anyway.

Been programming this level editor for 1 day straight.

I was inspired because I was looking at blitz3D and saying, "They have a lot of cool looking level editors. Why not put DBP to good use."

Not much now, and I've cut off the interface from the screenshot.

-Now-

- Currently 4 textures
- Sphere,Cube, and ramp shapes
- Default Roof and Floor settings for easy building
- Auto Roof mode, which builds the Roof and the floor at the same time.(Saves loads of time for indoor levels)

-Future-

- Planned 64 textures, along with users to add there own
- Clean up feature, which will clean up un-needed/extra shapes
- Rotation of Objects
- Scaling of Objects
- 4 Animated Water Textures
- Basement Mode(Easily Cave in ground to make basement levels)

Although I've kinda driven this off-topic what would you love to see in a map editor specifically for DBP.(At the moment) I myself am thinking about lightmaps, but I wanna get the basics inplemented first. Also thinking about building a custom collision engine for this editor.

Post your thoughts.

Thanks for your posts.

Once I get the interface sharpened up, I'll post in the W.I.P board. Until then, we'll pretend this post never existed.
