Possible but it's NOT very probable. But don't get discouraged, games are fun to make not matter were you start. Start small, make a Frogger or Lunar Lander clone. If that comes easy move on to something 3D. DBPro makes game programming alot easier, But is still complicated art form that needs to be developed. Learn the BASIC language.

The Game Creators are working on a First Person Shooter creation program that might be right up your alley, but that is still several months from release. Right now, there is nothing available that would not require several months just to learn the basics for 3D programming.

dito on that.
There are 2 thingies that are available for making game that do not require coding....

One is 3D Gamemaker (T3DGM) available from the DB site. They do have a demo version too. Its primative but easy to make simple games. From an absulte beginner perspective, its OK. But, it does not export code so cannot be expanded further.... The FPS thing under developement might be better as it exports code ...

Another is GameMaker

I purchased a copy of this I thought it so good. Although I mainly
use his site for images and sound effects. Also does not require code, but does export (sorta) so you can expand on it. When you learn to make DLL, you cn even add extra support ....

Also, before diving in and spending alot of money on tools, write a few levels for games you already have and see how you like the process... Some "MOD - friendly" games do not require coding to make maps or alter objectives and other things. Experiment ..
Warcraft, Starcraft, AOE, Unreal are Mod Friendly, And Sacrifice.
Homeworld and Starfleet are hard to mod. For RPG there's Dungeon Siege and Neverwinter Nights...

When you have a game idea that you can't do with a mod to an existing game, Then you are really ready for DB or DBpro.

OK I think hes talking about The 3D Game Maker. That program is VERY limited and you wont be making this big 3D Games you dream of sorry What YOU want is Dark Basic Professional, really only limited by DirectX, it gives you the power to create this games you dream of at your fingertips. You just need the dedication to learn the language, and you will be able to make games.

Heck, worked for me!
