Newcomers DBPro Corner / Whay types of 3d files do I need?

One thing that confuses me alot is what all these 3d files are best for. Can any of you tell me which ones are which what they're best for and why?

What you do is, I think you place you building on the screen then place the object somewhere within where the building is.

to answer your original message.

3DS files and X files are the only ones supported by dbasic. 3DS files just slow the comps load time down.

.bsp files are for loading a whole level or world, as far as i understand
They seem to be an optimised way to arrange the data.
