Ok just to get some replies maybe i didn't specify the problem fully.
When I try to export to .x from Wings or JTE Edit they dont work.
Is it the editors? (where could i get an exporter)
Is it dark basic?(which update should I get)
Is it me and it works perfect for everyone else?
Is it something else (what should I do?)

it usually has something to do with the settings you choose in the .x exporter. I've never used Wing3D, but JTEdit is a little touchy about making .x files that DB likes.

what settings are you using, and what kind of model is it (how many meshes/textures/bones/animations)

My model (one of quite a few)

And when I save as which ones should I tick?

one thing I think you should try, is using the MERGE tool to make all of your meshes into one mesh, then save it like you have been doing (nothing checked)... if that works, let me know.

P.S. are you using DX 9.0b?
