Wanna know if i just need to make a website template the size of my screen resolution (1024x768) or a 800x600 one you know the size of the image when you first start a new image.

Uhh what i wanna know since all templates are made from a image format can i make the outline of the image in say paint and then texture it in gimp? and i wanted to know also

When you make a image you have to select a size or make it whatever size you want. If im on a computer with a resolution of 1024x768 and for the template on my site to look nice and fit perfectly do i need to make the template image 1024x768?
