Hi guys,

Anyone know about how secure an MS Word XP document is encrypted with a secure (8+ lower, upper and special characters) password? Obviously a master cracker would breeze through them, but assuming an average computer user who knows what he's doing stole one of my concept files, is it very possible he could find something to crack through it?

Under Word XP it depends what method you use to encrypt the documents. You have everything from useless XOR to proper 128bit RC4 encryption.

Rob-> Aye I figured XOR would be useless, likewise low detail encryption. I'm using 128bit encryption... nevertheless... Yarbles' link tells a story of its own. Thanks both.
