I've been trying to convert 3ds models developed in 3d studio max. and i'm using pandasoft for exporting them to .x. It works fine when I am exporting them as still images, but when I add some animation, everything gets all messed up. I don't know what to do. Is there a specific setting you have to put it? If anyone knows, pls help.

i hope this would help if I add these details: I didn't use any bones, just rotated the different objects, which are linked together. the names are generic like box01, etc.

Just simple keyframe animation? Did you enable DX frame and animations? It really isnt hard to get that to work. Try tweaking settings on the export. Oh and do a reset Xform on everything your are exporting.

if you set up the configurations EXACTLY like they have at this website
http://members.lycos.co.uk/mrdarclyte

everything should work correctly... if not... you are doing something wrong with the animation

[edit]
site doesnt seem to be up... i also have the configurations at
