does anyone know where on the web there is a free uv unwrapper i have lithium unwrap but that only lets u use preset unwraps

lith is the best free unwrapper afaik, and what do you mean preset unwraps? you can make new ones or even edit previous ones

Lithunwrap is definately the best free unwrapper out there. you can edit EVERYTHING about the uv coords... I think you just need to read the tutorials/documentation a little more thoroughly.

1.1 assigns a uv set if you dont have one.
1.3 doesnt assign one.
perhaps you have started a model without uv co ordinates and are using v1.3

i can get basic set and then use the 3d view to select passific polys but is there a way i can then realign then to the collective normal and then scale and rotate and move them on the uv
