Is there a way to put quicktime movie files (.mov) and/or windows media files (.wma)into my games

because you can only use .avi format methinks, could be wrong tho

Yes, I wrote a tutorial about this for TGC (which they haven't put up yet ) The supported formats are MPEG, AVI,
Quicktime (MOV), WAV, AIFF, AU and SND.

Basically it involves just using the Animation commands in the Animation menu in the help file. Very easy. Play the animation to an image, and if you want it on an object, texture the image to an object but if you want it on the screen then use it as a sprite.

are there any legal issues if you release a commercial game and have video with those formats??

Their are legal issues but if the game is to just to test out some programming than it will be okay as long as you don't sell them for profit
