How can I create a semi-transparent panel in a 2D program using DBPro? I know I can create a fully transparent one using color key with a sprite, but what about semi-transparency (alpha blend)?

I wanted to create a game status panel area with a semi-transparent background.

Thanks,

the opacity of a texture in 3d will do that. you could create the panels to look 2d but in fact they are 3d plains always facing the camera.

an example of transparent 3d plains always facing the camera can be seen in the middle of this shot.

and an example of an opacity technique can be found here.
