i did the basic shape of the torso , the hand , and the legs .
i didnt connect them and shape them together yet , but i will
soon so just tell me what think , . i know its not goku cause after
all ive just started the model , but the shape basic shape is ok.
dont blame me for any wrong stuff and dont tell me what to fix cause its all built from a refrence picture , just tell me what u think . there is a link to the pic cause some problems with my host

cheack it out and tell me what u think , if this model will went up good in the end , ill probably make another character from dbz and make a little fight demo in darkbasic , that should be nice ,

I wouldn't think so, Maya renders usually have that creamy colour and the objects are auto-smoothed. That one looks more like 3DS Max IMHO.

ok here is n update , and ya im from israel .
ive connected the body parts mirror them and moved some
points on the torso , so tell me what u think , the top
of the torso flat because i didnt created the neck .
o and i rendered the model in maya 5.0 , not 3ds .

oh I know mayas renders i own maya5 Unlimited

getting there wich hair is he going to have SS or regular
you could also make the older gohan with that body.

well maya has 4 render types software(sucks), hardware(better), vector(weird) & mental ray(the best and you have to tweak the options to get the best render and their are alot of them and you need 3 point lighting for the best effect.

I'd tend to doubte you on that one james. The rendering styles you described (side from mental ray) are for real time views in maya, not pre-rendered images such as Shlomi_Nahari's goku.

Good guess about it being a maya render though. What gives it away most is the anti-alaising style arround the edges.

i bet it was just a simple software render for show only,the second pic was realtime screen capture

you can ask any one, all 4 are renderers with options and i might show a screen grab.

i have alot of experence with all the big packages maya & lightwave my fav.
