I'm in need of some simple game ideas for a project I'm working on. Your ideas will help shape the development of my project. I'm looking for simple game ideas such as...

-A simple racing game
-Game where you manage a sports team
-Find your way through a maze
-Solve a few simple puzzles

Just generic, linear simple game ideas.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Dr. O.

If I wasn't too clear on my first post, I'm just looking for simple game ideas. Things that can be done in one night, such as the ones I or Dr. Occult mentioned.

I'll post more about what I'm doing if the post and my progress progresses.

Ok, I'll give in and post a screenshot of mini game number one.

It's simply a racing game where you go around in circles.

Well, it's about one day's work from when I first posted till now.(6 hours of hard coding)

Still in search of simple game ideas.

(More gets revealed as better responses come )

ok, you have all of this then you post

no offesne but what is the point of this post? If you are already developing the game wtf do you need from us (yeah I know suggestions) but it makes no sense.

do the game.
post it for all to download and play.
or
don't do the game

I don't get why you posted anything (other than to show your game in progress but you should have just said that)

A screen saver (especially if you have already grabbed a skeleton and want to focus on the special effects part.)

A dice game.

A putt-putt golf game.

@Cattle Rustler

Alright, I'll be straight up with everyone and everything.

"Why Do I need Game Suggustions?"

Simple, I've built a small game creation system similiar to The 3D Game Maker, and I need to test it out to see what it can achieve.
Thus, give me simple game designs and I will test it to see if it fits the needs.

-The Screenshot is an example of the graphics I've achieved and detail level.

-I need ideas so I can tweak the engine to fit as many needs as possible.

This has been a long term project, and I'd appreciate any support.
There are a couple who might have already known(via msn) I was doing this, or have been carefully reading my posts in some of the other sections of the forum over the last month.

Thanks for all of your suggustions and I'll take any more.

(Yes, this is programmed in DBP)
[EDIT] Sorry for any misunderstandings, I'm just not the type to hand feed my projects all at once.

@Mattman

Yes, this is a very very early version of Curved Basic. Originally I wanted it to build an interpreter like DB(thus the post on compiliers), but that became too much.

Now I'm working my butt off to fit as many models,textures,sounds, ai commands, etc. as possibly into an easy game creation package.

Demo, probebly not till the summer. As of now, it only does a racing game with a car around the circle.

@Cattle Rustler

No problem, and I understand. My latter post probebly should've been my first rather than waiting.

@zircher

Thank you for all of your suggustions. Those classics slipped my mind, and would be a must to try and re-create.

There was a game called Tanks that was similar to Worms, but with just two tanks that can't move. Their is ever changing wind, and your missiles are light enough to be effected by this wind. You just aim your turret, and try to hit the other tank, then they try to hit you.

......Oh the tanks could move a bit come to think about it!

There was another Amiga game that was simple and great!

Around the borders of the screen you place Chainsaws. You put a man inside the screen, and he can run around. The screen scrolls randomly,(Left for awhile, right, up down, and diagonal for awhile) the chainsaws head towards the man due to the scroll. Keep the man away from the edges of the screen! But he cannot run around freely. There are streams that sometimes block his path, and he has to cross a bridge to prevent the chainsaws from catching up with him. Sometimes he runs into swampy ground which slows him down. He can also enter rooms to collect diamonds, but the rooms walls are restricting his movements to get away from the chainsaws. Collecting diamonds, and other objects scores points, but how long can you keep away fron the chainsaws?

Pincho.
