1.3 does not assign a map, your previous 3d modeller did not assign any at the time you exported it.

groups are found in lith 1.3 when you pre group them in your prior package.

invest in the full version of unwrap3d for a much better experience.

your model have no UV data yet ..that's why

1.switch to face selection

2.select faces/ or groups/ or whole model you want to asign UV data to

3.go to Tools>>>UV Maping and select method you want

simply select faces, you want to form new group from, then go to Groups>>>Modify... and select Add... ...then just type mane and you have your group formed...

if you mean 3D vindow, just click Preview>>>Show Model

if you mean workspace vindow, select group (right side menu) you want to see or if you want to see whole model go to Edit>>>Unhide All
Of course your model (or group) have to have some UV data already othervise you would see just one dot in upper left corner of workspace. To assign UV data to model (or group) do what is writen at the begining of my post...
That dot is your whole model (all the wertices of it have the same UV coordinate=0,0) so if you want to select your model, just select that dot by fence selection or go to Select>>>All

hope it helps
