is it any way possible to make a beat em up game with the 3d game maker?, somthing similar to tekken or a kung fu fighting game

yes.
just make the animations then stick them on a set of buttons
like upkey()=1 then (your animation jump here) to make it jump see what i'm saying.

don't ask me for code i suck at it but can do simple things.

I attempted it once, I got up to the bit of 2 player camera system(in 3d), that screwed me over, it took 2 years for me to figure it out, and by then I couldn't be bothered continuing it.

Working on a 3d project(surprise), hear more about it once i clean things up with school...(big year,it's the final high schooling year-and parents are a bit more strick now)

I didnt know you could code in 3D GAME MAKER. I have never seen the full version.

lol, should read the question before answering

No, i don't think you can do that in 3D Game Maker, but i've never used it. I think it was designed more for FPS and Racing games and things like that

Definitely FPS, TPS, and racing. The only other way would be having all your little guys use melee instead of missile weapons (I think you don't select a bullet), but even then you're not getting the effect of a traditional fighting game. DB would be a good investment, I also have 3d GM, and most of my game development time is invested in DB.

You can also use the INKEY$()=" "

like

if inkey$()="w"
move object 1,.....
endif
