Looks nice, perhaps a little more variation in the texture would look nicer, but it looks good none-the-less.

The 3d model itself is good, but what makes it superb is the texturing.

Lovely use of gold, red & green, and excellent patterns.
Very original, especially for a spaceship design.
I also like the way you have the small lighting highlights too on the screenshot.

Best model I've seen for ages. Very impressive.

agree with you Gir, the texture is a bit busy mistake of beginner and i really do without sketch or reference so maybe that's why i did to much..

anyway thank you for you feedback everybody

Your models looks good, but I would reduce polycount on them. For theyr shape it looks like, you use too much of them

hi

so i decided to release the first space i made for free ..of course...
you get it at this ad
http://www.turbosquid.com/HTMLClient/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/226308/Action/FullPreview

I agree with you arras concerning the first one and certainly the second one but anyway for dbp 320polys is not so bad...?
my prob it's i never sketch before what i want to do.. so start model like roots way...and of course use too much poly to create some part of model..
for the second one how much polys you think it's possible to do ?

150 polygoons

if you try and take the poly count too low you will inherit a kind of an unsophisticated look, notice how you are losing the refinement of the wings and the tops of the engines. All in all still a very nice reduction, but with poly counts that low I think you are losing some of that "wow" factor.

WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that model is the most cool model I've ever seen!! I love all the textures you've putted to the model! I've downloaded the model right now!

Know what? your "egyptian spaceship" (or how do you call it) is 100 TIMES BETTER than the Starlancer (Dreamcast game) spaceships!! VERY GOOD WORK!!!

What a creative mind you have!!!

thank you DARKGuy...

i don't give anyname to it..maybe "sphinx" will be good
i never saw i think starlancer cause i don't play dreamcast...anyway keep going to your spaceships too...my second one is not textured yet..not so much time for the moment.. ...

for GIR an arras i think both you're way of thinking are good arras for the good reducing of polys he made and GIR for advertise about shape if it's too low anyway i'm gonna be consider than between 400 to 1000 polys ( dependant of model details of course ) are not bad i think and i can save a lot of polys using good texturings for maps..also..isn't it?

thanks everybody for reply it make me more motivate to do better and better and soon the second one textured...

daghen>> that was just my try to reduce it as much as possible while keeping basic shape. Of course you should go your way, since you know best for what kind of project your model gona show.

For texturing ..yes you can get lot of detail and nice visual efect with them, thats why I prefere low poly models with hihg detail texture.
In fact to make texture is as much work or more than to make model..

Good luck with your models and dont forget to showe them to us

Hey Daghen, those are awesome models! I know about nothing about modeling, but I would like to learn. My trial of gameSpace expired and I didn't really use it a lot. How did you get those pictures? It showed everything you would've seen on the computer screen. How do you do that?

the skating husky>about image i just make a "render to file" in gamespace..that's it but you can use "print screen" too..
