Ahh! A Pratchett Fan! Where have you been CMOT? Have you played Noir? It's damn good, but the ending sucks!

Sorry. My name should be pretty obvious, it's DivW. I'm David Warnock, so it's DivW. Nothing hard about it, really.

Oh, and to clarify, 666 is the number of the beast. It's not from the Iron Maiden song. Just call it number of the beast, because people who follow what they hear in song or see in television annoys me, eg: the other day, we were watching Underworld, and people were saying "Why change it from werewolf to Lycan" and i was like because the Vampires live for ages and probablt spoke Latin originally, and Lycan is short for Lycanthrope which translates roughly as "Were-beast" form latin, i beleive, although i could be wrong. Anyway, there weren't just Warewolfs, as they beleived, almost any animal can transfer Lycanthropy, including bears and rats. Anyway, back to the point: people who say things like "Vampires, you know Buffy?" irritate me because all these damn TV shows always change it around slighly so that it's further from the truth. A Good example is Blade, where Silver was required to kill the Vamps-wtf? See my point? Anyway...sorry bout that...got carried away.

Hold on, just checked for the roots of the word, it's this:
Quote: "The term "lycanthrope" is actually a misnomer, coming from the roots lycos (wolf), and anthropos (man). A more correct term is "therianthrope," from therios (animal) and anthropos."

I think mine started off as a nick on Messenger, I just thought it'd be a good stereotypical Scotish name (although I'm not Scotish ),

Hamish = Stereotypical Scotish first name

Mc = Common pre-fix for Scotish sirnames

Haggis = Well known Scotish food, also starts with the same letter as Hamish, so goes well .

Trying is the first step towards faliure.

Why did you not spell it with two "M"'s? Or is it not meant to be a soldier name?

Cheers

666=Book of Revelations, Lycanthrope means werewolf, theresanthrope means werebeast, but, yes: 666 means mark of the beast. I found that out in the 4th grade when I asked mom about it in some horror movie

Don't think he was possessed. Was basically the anti-christ. And he had 666 as a birthmark on his head if I remember rightly.

Think it was the Omen (or something very similar) that had his social security number (or something very similar) as Jesus, but with numbers and the wrong way round or somesuch (like upside down calculator tricks). ie. his computer info even pointed to the Anti-christ. Nice. And then the computer geek finds out and gets cut in half by a lift. Or something. Erm. Was a while ago...

I love the Omen films - been on Sky TV for last few weeks and so last week I saw Omen and this week I saw Omen II.

It was Omen II that that geek got cut in half in lift but he was a chemist, not a computer geek. Found out Damien's blood was from a Raven and was going to tell someone.

Roll on Omen III and IV...

Boo!
