3 Dimensional Chat / Boxed version VS download version

For many programs there are two versions to buy
the boxed one and the download one. Usually the
download one is a bit cheaper and since you can download
it right away you don't have to wait for the product to come to
you like the box version on the other hand the boxed version
has a few advantage of its own like you get a CD with it
so you can keep the program, you get a tutorial book instead\with a
PDF file and more.

My questions are:
1. What version do you prefer?
2. Why?

I would say the boxed version even though the DBPro manual only gives simple explanations and is missing pages (185-192). But having the CD for re-installing is a plus.

I'm not talking only about DB. I'm talking on all the programs there are generaly.
I also prefer a boxed version but I hate paying for the shipment
especially when companies don't include the shipmeant in the product
price and when every company takes as much as she want.
