Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I try to ammend my .x models but they just look like blocks floating around. My idle character looks fine, but when I ammend to my walking character it looks like a nightmare, limbs and heads are everywhere!!! I tried to ammend idle.3ds with walk.3ds but a message always comes up "can not ammend object. What I am I doing wrong? I make my models is 3d canvas, and they are structerd alot like the models in dark matter.

You can't use skin and bones animation in DBc, you can only use limbed animations.

Reason of your problems can be that you used wrong exporter or mode to export your animation to x or 3ds.

correction, you can use boned animation aswell,
just not mesh deformation, so its best to make she bones connect to a separate group

...that is libmed animation. Bones are used in modeler to setup limbs.

But you right, my explanation can be confusing a bit
So: by skin and bones I mean mesh deform

So what exactly should I do? I dont use bone animation. I use limb animation. I do everything in 3d canvas pro I export to .x or .3ds. Is this where the problem lies? Is there something I should in 3d canvas pro before I exprt? IN DBC when I load each model indivualy they are fine, but when I append....well Like I said earlier, it is a mess!!! HAs anyone else had this problem?
