Hi

I've just got DBPro and tryied some of the demos.

I want to make a 3D world to walk around in. Ive tried to use a BMP for test but I want my world to be big.

I know that I can use som .x file but what program do you recommend that I juse for building the world?

Is it possible to add an object (eg. a house) to the world later so I dont have to build it in my world at once? (like a player placing a house).

Im not a noob for programming (has programming since 1985).

Check out the sticky thread at the top of the main 3D board, it's entitled something like "Posts of interest", it has a load of links to programs that you can use to do stuff like build worlds. I recommend Wings 3D and DeleD .

EDIT: Wings isn't on the link, it's a 3D modeller, not really for building worlds, more for just building the object that go in the world (trees, houses etc.). http://www.wings3D.com

Do you bite your thumb at me sir?

Sure, try DeleD. It even comes with a level containing only a house.

well a 3d modeler with a snap to grid tool is all you need because it makes every thing square just like a game engine likes but the main thing is to pick a program that feels right to you because any thing that has .x format is all you need.
