RPG and FPS. I'm picky about both though. No fake RPGs like Final Fantasy, and the FPS have to be just right-- most of them don't cut it.

I don't care that every mag gives them bad reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed playing and completing without cheats or help, Myst, Riven and Exile. Played demo of latest 3d one, Uru, but didn't rate it highly enough to buy. Maybe when it's on a budget label.

Myst is hailed as the pioneer in CD gaming, it got very few bad reviews. Uru was a total flop, kind of sad-- it launched without Uru Live enabled, one of the main features that was promised, and less than two months later Uru Live is shut down. Jeez.

Adventure / FPS for me

Adventures must have decent puzzles though , i liked the last broken sword but it was too much story not enough thinking.

RPG or FPS

Oh, speaking of First Person Shooters! If there are any fans here, you might want to go to [href]www.enemy-territory.com[/href] and download Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It's a free online FPS. Originally, it was meant to be an expansion to Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Enjoy...I know I am.

Old Sierra and LucasArts adventure games. My favourites are the Space Quest games. I collect old game systems so I enjoy passing time with games like Tank and Donkey Kong Jr.

But right now, it's Unreal Tourny 2004 (just ordered the DVD version w/ headset for $39US )
