is there a command to simply restart the whole program from the beginning i dbc?
(My main problem is getting text to stay on the screen after 3d objects or matrixes are introduced. I don't want to have to keep pasting it onto the screen because it involves input "texthere";string$ commands. I'm looking to delete the ambient light or whatever it is that keeps overlapping the text.)

it's not the flashing, it's that an INPUT command won't show for more than one frame.
