as you learn to "walk" in the language, when you get to Arrays, an array (multidimensional) can be used as a simplistic form of a database. Consider a multidim array that is (9,9), it could be used to hold data for a 10 x 10 row column logic structure. Again this is super simplistic example. You can actually attach to any database from dbp (msAccess, sqlServer, etc) since dbp supports dll's anything is possible from an extensibility standpoint.
