what is the command to find out what what the name of the domain the computer is connected to and the name of the computer

Im in my computer class and want to use the net send command but i dont know the domain or the computer name

net view
gives you a list of all the comp names on the network

In the beginning, the universe was created...
This made alot of people very angry and it has been widely regarded as a bad idea...

is there a command to fine what workgroup you are attached to and your computer name

every time i use net view i get a system error saying the list of servers is not available
