Hello,

I just wanted to know does anybody know what 3D Model program that animates frames, limbs, and creates levels would work with DB CLASSIC? I understand that DB Classic doesn't have vertex shading, or bump mapping but can I pre-render my textures in Texture Maker or Paint Shop Pro then import it into DB CLASSIC and get some type of good quality?
I have DB Pro but it still needs to become a little more stable before I use it for a big project. DB Classic is pretty stable at the moment and based on what I've seen with games such as STAR WRAITH and others I think it would suffice at the moment.

Thank You!!

Also does anybody out there know of any bone animation/mesh deformation plugins for DB Classic?

The first DarkMATTER has mesh deform support as well as a nice memblock system, which means it would be good for getting geared up for pro - although I reckon you'd be as well just using pro already. DarkMATTER is a pack of several 3D models for use in your games.

To make levels in DBC/DBPro with lightmapping etc, look at Cartography Shop - it uses a second copy of the level model to give a shadow 'layer'.

In answer to your question about a modeller that does all that - 3DS Max, but it ain't easy or cheap.

I reckon you should cool your jets for a month or so, see what happens with the next DBPro patch and other developments.
