I am trying to create a fullproof limbing system using dummy limbs. Basically I want to have a limb on the weapon or item(by limb I mean joint that is used in mesh deformation) and a limb on the part of the character that I want them to join at E.G:

(copy and paste the web address above into your browser, can't get the link working)
does anyone know how this can be accomplished?
thanks

the centerpoint of both limbs will connect when you glue them together, if the gun handles center point is at the joint and the hand limb's center point is at the joint markers position then it will connect in the way you want it to.

function connect(parent_object,parent_limb,child_object,child_limb,parent_limb_x#,parent_limb_y#,parent_limb_z#)
make mesh from object child_object, child_object
add limb parent_object,child_limb,child_object
link limb parent_object,parent_limb,child_limb
offset limb parent_object,child_limb,parent_limb_x#,parent_limb_y#,parent_limb_z#
endfunction

look at this function i wrote..
(note: this does not work, i keep getting an error that says must link limbs in sequential order)
