How do you load a .3ds file into your program?

That is what I put, but it doesn't show the model.

In your dark basic ide click on the media button in that box to the right. The tell it where the graphic is and then whne it wants you to confirm, theres a little box that says "move this file to project directory" or someting close, Click that little boc And press ok. The all you do is
load object "flying saucer.3ds",1

15in monitor with 13in veiwable screen

If you are using dbpro 3ds support isn't great. It could be that it doesn't like your 3ds file. Some will load, some crash db and others just give a blank screen.

Try converting the file to a .x (direct x) file.

Yes iam using dbpro. How can I convert it to a .x file? (I dont have any 3d modelling programs)

if you have dark matter you it has a 3ds to x file convertor or you if I remember you can do it using 3d canvas
