i searched for the term"free resaources" so either this has not been asked or i am using bad terminology but i am wondering if there are sites that have free graphic resources like sprites and stuff to play with my only other option would be to maybe borrow them using znes or something since this is for non-commercial(just for practice)i doubt i'd get in trouble for doing this but that seems more time consuming than just being able to dl some from a site.

First off, resources has no 'a' in it. You'd be better off searching the web for materials than here. The forums are more of a Q&A thing although requests and free resources do pop up every now and then.

Turbosquid and 3D Cafe are your best first web sites to visit for resources. While both sites do have pay items, they also have freebies.

I know exactly how you felt. Try www.3Dcafe.com and go to free stuff. You should be able to download anything you might want in a game.
