Please do not expect someone to give you a full game or try any "Give me the codes" threads. It won't make you any friends . Luckily for you there is an example of space invaders that comes with DBC. Look in "MyProj" under "Swarm".

I'm not an evil weirdo! I don't want the codes i want a small bit of info. Maybe explain some things and make me do the rest!!! It feels degrading for somebody to think that you're that selfish . I just want to know how the things in the game work. That way i can figure out how to get started and do the rest with my head. That would also help to get a boost on other games. Ofcourse I dont want the codes! What use would that have?! I wouldn't be able to do anything else if I was that stupid !
P.S. I had a look at all of the games and Sawrm is weird. I just want to make a game that I ACTUALLY made, that wasn't a rip off of someone else's code. GIVE ME SOME DIGNITY !!!!!!!!!!

so, just think of the real game - then decide in your mind how to do each part. spare us the sermon, reverend.

Sorry if you thought I was trying to be mean, or if you got offended, it's just when someone turns up on a forum and says "Help me with space invaders" and doesn't give any information, we tend to think of it as someone asking for someting for nothing. Try and do it yourself and come back when you need help with specific parts.

You might want to read the sticky posts at the top of the forum, particually this one.

Sorry, I probably was being a little bit straight forward. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I'm actually starting to get the hang of it, so i've started to make a new game, it's a music box. Fairly simple, but you know. Sorry again that I was so straight forward. I hope in future we will become friends.

Ha...

I purchased DarkBASIC yesterday.

So far all I have accomplished is checking out the examples and then just kind of staring at my monitor, occasionally wiping slobber from my chin.

I have no idea what is going on.

I don't feel very intelligent right now.

Well Kaven, since youre new, why dont you make another thread and ask for help? Im sure that Jiffy doesnt want you to hijack his thread.

Good luck Jiffy on your music box thingy.

...wasn't my intention.

I was merely making a statement in comparison to jiffys' about "getting the game yesterday".

Lighten up.

Kaven - I got my knowledge of DarkBASIC from the Trial Version. That's how I got everything I know, so, technically I didn't get it yesterday, but officially I did.
