Walls can be just plains, textured. The "right" way to do things is to create a skybox - a cube, textured on the inside with your scenery. The skybox is always centred on the camera so that you never reach it.

guns - I don't know, they're nasty things...nothing but trouble.

If you have the Christmas Darkmatter demo package from a couple newsletters back there is an AK47 model in there you could use if you want something more realistic. Otherwise you'll have to model it yourself or get Darkmatter.

I think you need to step back and start smaller, based on this question. Try out the tutorials on the site, they are well documented and cover all of the aspects you need to consider before starting a game.

use the load object command to load the object, then you can move and scale it to what you want with the standard object commands (see the help file), then when you have it where you want it then just lock it to the screen, eg

load object "models\guns\bfg9k",1
position object 1,halfway_across_the_view,just_under_the_camera,just_in_front
rotate object left 1,angle_that_makes_it_face_away_from_me
lock object on 1

that should help, cheers.

Permit me to solve the mystery!

try this code, I'm making an FPS game at the moment and it's called strikedown: operation zero. and I put a DarkMATTER Mp5 in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you're lucky! I'm giving YOU a source of the game:

(NOTE: IT'LL ONLY WORK WITH A MATRIX)

load object "H-MP5-Static.3ds",1
yrotate object 1,0
fix object pivot 1
scale object 1,4500,4500,4500
position object 1,9,-9,14
lock object on 1

If you say you have DarkMATTER, add H-MP5-Static.3ds to your game folder!
