What is the best animation package for under $200, that has been proven to work with DBP.(U5)

My game progress has been halted due to lack of character animations, and I don't want to put all the animating of objects at the end of my development line.

I've considered CharacterFX, yet I just want to see what my other options are. (Yes, I know about milkshape, so don't bother to post that option either.)

Hmmm, might consider 3D Canvas. I'm trying to stay away from Calgari products at the moment. Just not happy with the way Truespace is working, and I rather not shell out another $200+ to them.

No offense, It's a great modeling tool, yet I just can't get the TS5 animations to work with DBP. So I'm looking for a new product.

Currently looking into Animation Master(http://www.hash.com) I really like the looks of it, and it seems to be an all-in-one application.

Just need to see what kind of model formats it supports, and if it'll be compatible with DBP.

CharacterFX is like $15. It low enough that you buy it and kick the tires, drive to your mum's house, and still abandon it if you don't like it.

Down the road, I'll be needing a character animation system as well. So, I'm interested in how your search turns out. I've done some animation in DoGA (no export capability for animation, so not an option), Animation Master, TrueSpace 4.3, Milkshape 3D, and even POV Ray. But, I have not found a system that I'm happy with.

I'd revist trueSpace 4.3 since it has key frame animation and .X export for DX 7, but I'm sure that it has no support for mesh animation that is now the standard for characters.

For under $200 I'd try trueSpace4.3, it's only 80 bucks, but was the first version to have really good .x animation export.

Get CharacterFX, a guaranteed DBPro compatible boned mesh animation system for £15, you'd be daft not to.

Put this way - I have 3DS Max, and I still use CharacterFX for animation.
