2D All the way! / Rotating 2D sprite

I'm using DBC, so if I understood right, it doesn't have the command 'rotate sprite'.
Is it really too slow if I search the sprite for pixelcolors and then put them go the used angle and full the holes that then exist?
It sure is slow. Need sprite to turn all 360 degrees and not 90 degrees at one step...
Is there a command in DARKbasic Classic to use rotate?

You could draw half of the sprites at different angles, then flip them to get all of the other angles. Or you could just draw 16 sprites in a rotation animation.

What program should you suggest? I mean when you do the 16 different pictures? Can I do it with Animation Shop or what?

Most decent paint programs let you rotate your image. Some even let you batch process stuff, so you could feasably have 90 images

GIve me more power!

Paint Shop is good for the money, I'd get that, and then I'f buy DBP, as it is much faster.
